“my family of 4 (2 teens). we needed an short stay overnight to catch the ferry early morning. This was 8-10m drive to the port. it was spacious enough for what we needed. You are near the airport so planes can be heard above relatively loud and often but it did not impact our sleep. It was a short (2-3m) walk to many dining options for food or coffee as well. Would return.”

“The hotel was absolutely superb, we were there for a 3 night stay at the end of a weeks villa holiday and it was perfect. Rooms were massive, food was excellent, staff were so friendly and helpful. The only thing that we could complain about was the pool area - the pool itself is stunning and overlooks the golf course BUT there are too few loungers and too few towels!!! So we arrived on one occasion to nowhere to sit and nothing to dry ourselves with - not ideal, one family with little children……

“Es ist ein super schönes Hotel mit einer tollen Aussicht auf die ganze Stadt. Einzige Minuspunkt. Ist das etwas abgelegen? Ist man wirklich auf jeden Fall ein Mietwagen brauch oder sich ein Taxi holen muss. Und das Frühstück ist auch nicht so krass. Es ist sehr einfach gehalten, aber im großen und Ganzen war es einsuper Aufenthalt. ist eher was für Paare und etwas älteres Publikum. ”

“Virkelig skønt hotel. Udsigten er magisk. Omgivelserne er stille, ingen larm fra gågader eller lignende. Vi var så heldige at blive opgraderet til et værelse med egen pool - så fornemt! Personalet er så søde, servicen helt i top. Vi nåede ikke at spise på a la carte restauranterne, men stranden og strandbaren var i top. Virkelig dejlige drinks! Og så er der shuttle bus der henter og bringer gæsterne fra deres værelser, da hotellet område er meget stejlt. Vi kommer klart igen!”

“Spent 4 nights here with my wife as part of our Honeymoon in Greece. It was absolutely splendid. Such a peaceful, wonderful resort with great amenities. The pool side is absolutely breathtaking and so relaxing. There is a great pool bar nearby and the servers bring you drink and food in very timely fashion.
I had originally a sea view only room and they upgraded us to a shared plunge pool room for free. This was an awesome upgrade. We used the plunge pool a bunch and its basically your own……

“Sehr netter und herzlicher Empfang durch Athena, die gute Seele vom Hotel.
Super Bedienung am Frühstück und Abendessen.
Kurze Taxifahrt ins Dorf Malia, oder man mietet ein Auto, um noch verschiedene schöne Strände zu erforschen. (Potamos Beach mit Kalyva Taverna sehr empfehlenswert)
Einen sehr lieber 3 Beiniger Kater hat uns im Hotel begleitet… für Kinder einfach unvergesslich.
Einzig am Abend läuft, für uns zu viel Folkloremusik.
Aussicht, Sauberkeit, Pool waren fantastisch!

“I absolutely loved my stay at The Island hotel and would recommend anyone to book! The hotel was large but extremely well maintained, the staff were lovely and breakfast included such an array of tasty food. Incredibly clean and I felt very safe as a solo female traveller. The pools were fantastic and I easily spent hours there!

"We had a great stay at Creta Maris Resort. The all inclusive setup makes it super relaxing – you don’t have to think about anything and can fully unwind.
Most staff were friendly and helpful, except for one or two at Enomy Restaurant whose English made communication tricky, and the luggage staff who seemed a bit indifferent.
Food-wise, I recommend booking the à la carte restaurants. Buffets offer variety but are average in quality. Enomy has more choices than Estia. We tried Alatsi – excellent service, amazing sea view, food slightly salty, but the crème brûlée was a highlight. Desserts overall are large and satisfying.
Pool bar snacks weren’t great, but drinks and cocktails were excellent – perfect for sunny poolside moments.
Our room had a partial sea view and the resort is beautiful, with lots of photo spots. There’s a private beach, plenty of pools, and activities you can book easily through their app.
I suggest staying at least 3 days. With 4 or 5 nights, you can also explore the town.
Overall, it’s not super luxury, but it’s a great fit for families and covers a wide range of needs. Recommended."
