This 4 bedroom 2 bath remodeled home is surrounded by 25 acres of grass fields with 1,000 feet bordering the beautiful Dan River. Imagine splashing in the cool water. Go for a leisurely walk down the 3/4 mile - low traffic gravel lane. At night sit on the porch and listen to the tranquil sounds of the river, do a little stargazing or grill your favorite steak, sit around the firepit or picnic table. When you go inside you can relax by the electric fireplace with someone special. Read, watch Roku TV, play chess or checkers. Great place to relax

My family and i took a break during a long trip to rest and rejuvenate at the Dan River House. Quiet and beautiful place. Mount Airy, NC, one of my favorite places, is a short drive away. Great place to unwind. The gas grill is a great place to grill up a nice sirf and turf dinner, or burgers and dogs.

Cozy & Secluded

The Dan River House is a great place to unwind and relax. It's so nice to just sit on the porch and listen to the river. Estelle is also the best host. She is easy to get in touch with and prompt in responding to any concerns you may have. My husband said we will definitely be back :)

Celebrating my Mom's 93rd Birthday

Enjoyed our stay at the Dan River House, the central location worked perfectly . We visited Mt Airy, Pilot Mountain (saw a beautiful sunset), Blueridge Parkway, Mulby Mill, VA Fairy State Park and the Floyd Country Store. Dan River house very accommodating for our group.

Heaven on Earth

Perfect place to unwind & just relax. Sitting on the front porch rocking with the sun shining on you listening to the river. House was immaculate. Plenty of room for a large group & zero traffic. Would recommend this home to anyone.

Peaceful Retreat

It was really nice out there, secluded, but yet not to horrible from town.No real issues. Good value for the days I chosen. Way better than a hotel as you have more conveniences than a hotel. Going to try to go back in warmer weather, so I can enjoy the river a little more. I was really great.

Quiet and peaceful

We had a lovely time at Dan River! It’s an older home, but very clean and comfortable. It has all the amenities we needed to cook a nice dinner and sit under the stars by the fire pit! Estelle was wonderful to get back with me on any questions I had. It was only about 15 miles to Mt. Airy to tons of restaurants, and the drive was beautiful! If you are looking for a comfortable, country setting you can’t go wrong with Dan River!
