"Too far from anywhere "

"Close to Fundao and Covilha this location is perfect for those who like to be surrounded by nature yet close to town. The house is nice, yet rustic. As it mentions it’s off the grid, the house is heated by the fireplace, which is connected to a boiler system that also heats the towel rack and the 2 radiators in the bedrooms. "The house is lovely. We particularly loved the outside kitchen, dining and lounge area and we used this a great deal. The pool was also great. The house is in a good location in a small hamlet but there are no facilities there so you do need to drive everywhere. It is about 20min drive to Coimbra which is a very pretty old city and definitely worth a visit. The Atlantic coast is about 45min drive where there are beautiful long sandy beaches. "If you are looking for a home in this part of Portugal - this is the place. A wonderful location (there's TONS to do in the area and the hosts provide you with so much information to pick and choose from), a peaceful setting and wonderful accommodations. The pool is wonderful and has a grill and dining area next to it. A wonderful stay with wonderful hosts. I could see us going back here in a heartbeat!"

"We were visiting from Canada and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this rustic, authentic accommodation. Thank goodness for accurate GPS to get to the property and through the twists and turns of the VERY narrow roads in town & up the hillside! Ample parking outside the cottage. We all slept soundly and the beds were comfortable and the house was charming.
