“I stay in room 260. So noisy all night with party music. Could not sleep at all. I have originally booked another stay on may 10 night. Considering to move to another hotel”

“First impressions, as you drive through a housing estate were not good, however, both rooms we had booked were very clean and had all we needed for a stop off to the airport. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I've used in a while. I have paid double and had dirty rooms in Birmingham, Cambridge, Chester,York and London . Quite hotel all night even though it was full.”

“Highly recommend this property for the price it is great. The location was perfect for us super close to the train station and the walk into town was very easy even with a toddler. The breakfast had a nice selection and was tasty. The staff was really nice even gaving me a converter and kindly said I could keep it. Would definitely come back ”

“I loved my room at the very top of the hotel, it was very comfortable and had windows on both sides. I was told it was top floor without lifts, and I was fine with this. I loved all the paintings, antique furniture and knock knacks around the public areas, and there was real character to the place The reception staff were extremely friendly and pleasant. I felt completely safe and comfortable as a solo traveller. ”

“Probably once a grand place to stay on the doorstep of the stunning Devils Punchbowl. Now, it’s a bit Sky Sportsy and appears to be more geared towards contractors working locally BUT, having said that the service was great, the manager and staff were very lovely and the room may have been a little tired (but not as tired as me) but everything worked and the bed was comfy so for the price l ain’t complaining.”

“We were looking for an overnight relaxing stay and this hotel was exactly what we needed. Everything you want for a relaxing time is provided for . Our room was a good size, quiet and very comfortable. The hotel is steeped in history, and the building is incredibly quirky dating back to the 15th century. Many historical figures have stayed here, including Horatio Nelson! We would like to single out in particular a member of staff called Horace, whose hospitality went above and beyond at all……

“Room is ok, breakfast is great, unfortunately after I had breakfast water supply stopped in the hotel. Maintenance work is understandable, but should remind guests beforehand so they can be better prepared.”
