Best thing was the location right by the boardwalk! Other than that, I honestly wouldn’t recommend it. Walls were thin (heard babies crying, couples fighting), our electronic key cards didn’t work and had to use metal keys. Had to go downstairs twice within an hour to request extra linens. It worked for us, but if you’re looking for a nice hotel, this one probably isn’t it.

I liked the location & the staff were always pleasant & professional! The actual room was not up to par for the price. The carpet always felt wet under my feet. The bathroom was extremely tiny. For such a big room that should be able to accommodate 6 people, there were no other dressing mirrors other than on the closet doors but then no usable outlets near the closet to use the iron or a blow dryer.

Property is a bit outdated, but it seems they are renovating little by little. I give it a 4 because their prices have rises since the passed few years that we have stayed & we keep coming because of the convenience of how close the beach & boardwalk are.

Let me first say we have not been to Asbury park in quite some time. For the price of lodging I dont feel you should also have to valet for $75 each day. Metered parking is easy enough but I dont go on weekend getaways to worry about parking. Secondly, we were on the 7th floor but were still kept up till 2 a.m due to our room facing the street side. Its a party town, I just dont party every night. Its Jersey not the French riviera. Thirdly, and this is just me, the hotel had a small pool and I feel it was overpriced(bar area). I travel frequently to different states and countries. Just my opinion, would have stayed at a more affordable hotel but you live and you learn.

Good location. Fee heavy & not worth the costs. Not really ON the beach but near. Piss warm crowded pool that it didn’t feel clean to use. Sill had to pay fee cause pool was there. For the price of the room, no breakfast offerings. Expensive mediocre stay

Not as good as it used to be. Prices at the Berkeley have skyrocketed since we were there two years ago. The pool used to feel like a resort experience with lux lounges, pitchers of drinks and excellent service. Now it’s the same as my town pool. Awful staff and town pool chairs. Plumbing issue in our room sink, toilet and shower “whistled” after use. $75 a day to park. If you walk about theee blocks street parking is free

We loved how close the Berkeley was to the beach and the boardwalk. They also had a very nice pool. Our room was very clean, and when we asked for extra hangers they were very accommodating. The drinks etc at the pool were very pricey, but it just might be the neighborhood. Also $60 per day for valet parking seemed steep. Overall, we really liked it and would go back.

Not the cleanest. Toilet ran, sink backed up. The refrigerator didn't work. Didn't get any maid service until we complained. On the other hand, it is a nice spaces with lots of personality and very convenient.
