“A wonderful peaceful 3-day stop staying in the superior lodge room. The room itself comprised a spacious living area and a similarly large bedroom set a short walk from the castle itself. “The hotel has an elegant look and feel and the staff was lovely. However we were traveling with children and after a long day in the car, and really looking forward to getting some energy out in the pool, we were told “no kids after 6.” It wasn’t “quiet time” in the pool as there was an aerobics class going on with booming music. Also, I had ONE towel in my bathroom. My daughter and her family were in an adjoining room and also had ONE towel, but the bigger problem was that the only water that……
“We had a very warm welcome at the hotel. The staff were delightful and nothing was too much trouble. We were particularly impressed by the welcome given to children and the range of activities for them.
I would advise guests to take notice of the hotel’s suggestion to avoid the busier times for breakfast as we did experience one morning in the “rush hour” and it was hectic”
