Ranch house on 20 acres with a view for miles and friendly Longhorns! House is over 4400 SF with huge open spaces and over 2000 sf of deck and outdoor entertaining space. Outdoor activities include a fire pit, 18 hole Frisbee golf course, walking trails, large pond, basketball goal, corn hole, a life-size Catan game, bocce ball. XL GREEN EGG outdoor grill. The Master Bedroom is huge with its own private shower, whirlpool bathtub and double vanity. The pool house features its own private room with Queen bed and futon and full bathroom. Other rooms in the house feature full beds, double bunk beds, a daybed and futon. Can sleep 16 people in beds and 2 on futons. Other info about property: This home is on a well. There are 2 Reverse Osmosis (purified water) spigots. One in kitchen sink and one in the laundry sink. Please use those for drinking. The well water is safe, just doesn't taste as good. This is a RANCH HOUSE, it sits on 20 acres of land in the Texas Hill Country. There is likely to be insects, small predators (rabbits, snakes, foxes...), as well as Longhorn cattle and deer on the land. The house, yard, and pool area are treated regularly for insects and pests but there may be an occasional insect that makes it into the house. If you bring pets, they must be on a leash outside of deck gates. There is a lot of wildlife and the donkey is very protective of the longhorns. Absolutely no smoking in the home. There is an exterior cigarette container by covered parking- please keep smoking limited to that area. Longhorn Getaway Event Equipment Rentals Available: 60” round tables- 8 available- $10/each Cocktail tables- 6 available- $10/each White Folding Chairs- 50 available- $2/each Black spandex covers for cocktail tables- 6 available- $10/each Ivory polyester tablecloths- for round tables- 8 available- $5/each There is a short-term RV rental on property as well as another home as a long-term rental. This main house will have private use of pool and entire 2 acres surrounding house including Disc golf course. The rest of the property is shared by other renters and 3 longhorns and a donkey. Please notify Jana immediately if there are any equipment failures. Failures reported will be repaired as quickly as possible. (We have an entire maintenance team.) There is a charcoal grill (XL GREEN EGG) on the property. Please keep it in its place and practice safe grilling and make sure the coals are properly put out before departing the property. We provide beach towels for the pool area, please keep the other linens in the home. All garbage must be bagged (no loose trash) and emptied into the trash containers provided. Cleaning: As guests, you are expected to straighten up the rental unit prior to departure. All furniture should be returned to its original location. Dirty dishes are not to be left in the kitchen sink, counter top or refrigerator. Please turn dishwasher on with any remaining dirty dishes before you leave. The longhorns are fed daily around 5-6 PM. Please don't block driveway down to the barn. You are welcome to watch and pet the longhorns at that time. (at your own risk) This property contains many unique structures inside and outside the home. There is a large tank (pond) near the back of property as well as the pool. Unfortunately we had probably the coldest weekend of the year so the pool wasn't usable (heated but owners were very forthright that it doesn't get very hot when the weather has been less than 60). We still had plenty of space to spread out, got to see the longhorns, and on the one nice day of 70 (pool still too cold) we enjoyed pickleball, frisbee golf, and their many outdoor games! We spent the weekend here and had an amazing time; the venue is beautiful and it was able to house our family for a truly special weekend. Also the entire process of booking it, communicating with Jana, viewing the venue prior to make sure everything would fit, all the logistical side of things were made easy for us. Jana was absolutely wonderful. Her and Tommy made the entire stay stress free, at one point we thought one of the door locks had run out of battery and Tommy was there within minutes to fix it. We feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to celebrate our marriage on this property with our loved ones! Safety for our littles was our number one concern, and this property couldn't be beat! The fence around the pool was a life-saver! Pool accidents are so common and no other VRBOs had any safety fences. The peace of mind that provided was paramount. The kiddos also loved the pickleball court and couldn't get enough of the longhorns & donkey. The bunk beds were definitely squeaky and the futons slept one adult instead of 2, but the amenities of this place couldn't be beat! Many on site activities to keep everyone busy. A nice surprise was the pool was heated and enjoyed on many occaions. The 2 refrigerators came in handy. We appreciated the welcome gift. The property exceeded our expectations and Jana was great to work with. The pool was great and we enjoyed the fire pit, too. A couple minor minor notes about the beds: the bunk beds in the bunk room are squeaky, and the people who stayed in that room were very self-conscious of moving at night so as not to bother others. Also: we had hoped that the futons might be able to accommodate two people but realized once we arrived that they fold out to somewhere between a twin and full, and therefore can only really fit one person. We had a great time at the pool, playing pickle ball, and corn hole games. The house is very well supplied with everyday items. Very very clean, and no bugs. The common spaces were large enough for our group to cook, play cards, and spend time together. We could see the longhorns and the donkey from the large windows. We stayed here for one of my son’s wedding. The house was beautiful as were the furnishings. I was cooking for our family so it was great that the kitchen was well stocked! We had more than enough space for our very large family. There were activities to keep everyone entertained from children to adults.
