"We stayed one night at the Hotel Pommernland having flown in to the nearby Anklam airfield. As it was the Ascention weekend there were no taxis available so the hotel manager Eric kindly gave us a lift into town to a greek restaurant. Hotel was clean and tidy and the rooms were absolutely fine. My only criticism is that there was only 1 feather pillow supplied which was way too soft, my head sunk straight through it. Breakfast was OK."

Some of the best food we've had in Germany. Lots of nice walking paths - along the canal, beach area, to local ruins of a monastery. "Der Hof Verchen liegt nur 3...4 Minuten vom Kummerower See entfernt. Im Sommer hat man den Vorteil, dass man mit ein paar Schritten dem Trubel am Wasser entfliehen kann und doch nahe dran ist. Und jetzt im Winter ist es herrlich still. Ich habe den Sessel vor das Gartenfenster geschoben und Wildgänse und Singschwäne beobachtet. Die Ferienwohnung war geräumig sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und hatte alles, was man braucht. Und die Vermieter sind überaus freundlich und vermitteln Willkommensein."
