We had reserved for two nights, and two days prior to our reservation we received a text that it was canceled owing to "room problems." When we called to learn more, the owner was very hard to understand. We found a room in a nearby town, and then the owner called back and said we could come for the second night, which we decided to do. The owner apologized again for canceling the first night but we still couldn't understand the reason why. The room itself was fine--very clean and comfortable. There was no breakfast, which we realized would be the case, but also no coffee nor hot water, which seems kind of basic. After we left I discovered we had been charged more than the price on our reservation. It was only a few dollars, but still. The property photo is terribly misleading. The "Inn" is an old, run-down, building adjacent to the "office" in the photo (a very out-of-date photo). This is an old property, in quite decrepit condition. The Inn is a 2-story building with doors to the parking lot. There appear to be permanent residents on top floor, with trash piled on the 2nd floor walkway, as well as trash beside the 1st floor doors. It did not feel safe or secure. On a 2 week trip, this was by far the most disappointing hotel I stayed in.
