Beautiful self contained private guest house located on shore of Lake Chapin, with two bedrooms and one bath. Lake Chapin is an all sports lake with good fishing, bring the boat and water toys or forget bringing anything and enjoy the lakeside firepit, Paddle boats and kayaks that are provided. The home is located close to amenities, but has the feel of up north seclusion. Fully stocked with linens, towels, kitchenware, grill. Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn is only 3.8 miles away. If you have a larger party and need more accommodations, please message us, as we can accommodate a larger group, so you can all stay together for the wedding venue's. Close to Andrews University, Notre Dame, LMC, SMC,Berrien County Youth Fair Grounds, Wineries, Breweries, Casinos, Wedding venues and more.

Wonderful reasonably priced getaway!
This place was great with a few minor concessions for someone in a wheelchair. If you’re looking for handicap accessible property it did work but I had to have help being pushed up the front walk or I would tip over backwards. I did make it down to the water using the trail but I have a free wheel attachment that lifts my casters off the ground and I had to be pushed back up by a 20 year old boy and it wasn’t easy. The shower was very handicapped accessible with a sturdy built in seat. I don’t believe there were any grab bars around the toilet. I’m an Osting user so that wasn’t an issue for me. We did have to remove a doorknob on the bathroom so I could get my chair through but that was no big deal as it’s a pocket door and you could still close it without anyone being able to see in. Essentially if you’re with physically able family members and you’re in a chair and pretty independent you Can make this place work. We spent 5 days there and it worked out nicely. It’s not perfect but for the price it’s well worth the minor inconvenience. We went to Weko beach for a day, if you go there and you’re in a chair, pull down the boat ramp and get out where the sand is more solid and you are close to the waters edge. The owners of this proper were super responsive to messages. They were just really nice people. As hosts I give them 5 stars for sure! I felt safe at this place as well, you could be outside at night and there was no fear whatsoever.

July Vacation
The property was great, really no complaints. Lots of nice amenities to use and it was very clean. The owners are responsive and have a nice guidebook inside to help with local recommendations. The one thing I wish was more clear in the property description is that the house is part of a tri-plex--that is, it is attached to two other homes (though it is on one end so it only shares one wall). That said, we did not notice any additional noise and the neighbors were very pleasant.

A good place to get away
Pretty nice place on a pretty private lake. Lots of water toys! That was a plus. The kitchen is stocked but not as well-stocked with cooking supplies. The binder of things to do was nice but could definitely be updated. Sorry, I know that sounds nit-picky. This really is a good place to do. Plenty of places to go and do things, picking fruit, and hiking/biking. Great lake access.

Perfect family getaway
A big thank you to the owners who were very communicative the entire time. The house was very clean when we arrived so we felt right at home. We had one minor problem with internet speed, but the owners quickly helped us fix that. The location on Lake Chapin and the access to the water with the boats was great. Our two young boys spent the entire trip playing in the water and fishing. We could not imagine having a better time during this pandemic. It was a much needed break and our trip here was the perfect getaway.
