Beautiful Old Bermuda property right on the water.Posted Aug 31, 2015
Pros: The staff, central location, old Bermuda style, great beach.
Cons: Pillows way too stuffed, ice machine not working. Poor lighting in bath, shower head leaking, fan not working. Non working light in closet & balcony.
Location: Great Location! We always get scooters & were able to travel from St George to Somerset. Shopping in Hamilton, but miss Trimmingham's and Smith's
Very nice staff. Hotel is very charming and old Bermuda style and sits right on the water with an amazing view. Great beach! There is some wear and tear in the rooms and the pillows are extremely puffy and uncomfortable. Food was good, but the bar and bar staff definitely wanting. Scooters can be ordered and delivered to the hotel which is a plus. Figure out what you want to see and do while in Bermuda before hand as the hotel offers no services along that line. We would go back and do recommend this centrally located hotel.

Great beach, good food.Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: location and beach
Cons: the ice machine for our oceanfront building was broken but a short walk to next building and the slider needed grease or WD40 really hard to open
Location: fairly close to Hamilton and other south shore beaches, easy scooter rental from Elbow Beach Rentals next door
loved the beach and views, front staff could better reflect "the old Bermuda" ( 3rd visit but last one was 29 yrs. ago) Most of the wait staff was very good, housekeepers and Steve were very nice

Bermuda WeekendPosted Aug 15, 2015
Pros: Location near beach and ocean
Location: Details, and update of rooms and grounds.
We went to Bermuda for a quick getaway. We have stayed at the SH Fairmont in the past, but wanted to try somewhere closer to the beach and smaller.. So Coco Reef was out choice. Wow...excellent location, location, location for the Bermuda Beach and ocean experience. Located on the Eastern end of wonderful and long Elbow Beach...DEFINITELY A beach lovers PARADISE. The facilities of the hotel, are in need of updating, it is a little worn out around the edges. Staff, food, location are all excellent. Access to snacks and bottled water and soft drinks is very limited...rooms have fridges...but no mini-bars (we recommended they change that). But proximity of hotel is close to a grocery/liquor store.

Quiet Beach ResortPosted Aug 15, 2015
Pros: The staff was helpful and friendly. It was quiet and elegant. It was very clean.
Cons: It is down a steep hill side road. To get a bus you needed to climb that hill every day, both ways. A ride from the hotel to the bus stop would help.
Location: It is pretty secluded from places and things to do. You need a vehicle to get anywhere. The buses were great and got us all over the island.
We went for our 25th wedding anniversary. The hotel was beautiful and quiet. The view was magnificent. The beach was quiet, fun, and beautiful and it was on the property. The staff was helpful and courteous. Everyone was very friendly. The food was good, nothing special and very expensive, but the dinning room was elegant. We were able to get a bus pass right at the hotel for the time we were there and that was very helpful. It was a wonderful stay overall.

Somewhat secluded, beautiful location.Posted Aug 14, 2015
Pros: Beautiful dining area, food pretty good overall, the combination of AC and ceiling fan kept us comfortable, TV gets a lot of channels
Cons: Toilet had little leak from back, one of the front desk staff was a little brusque, wifi a bit spotty, breakfast menu got a little boring.
Location: Coco Reef is one of few hotels with direct access to the beach, this alone highly recommends it. Bus will get you everywhere, bit of walk to bus stop.
We stayed four nights for our 25th anniversary. We enjoyed our stay very much overall! It was clean and comfortable. Our room had an ocean view and a balcony from which to enjoy it - as does every room.

Nice but tired.Posted Aug 11, 2015
Staff were excellent and food really top quality. Beach 50 yards away plus pool on terrace. Just a shame that the whole place had a "tired" look and could do with a make over especially as it was at top end of price range. Last thing...be aware Delta Airlines charge $25 per case each way!!!! Added another $100 to an already very expensive break.

Great small hotel on the beach.Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Everything, although I did not have dinner at the hotel. Nonetheless, breakfast and lunch are good.
Cons: Not much.
Location: Great location, fabulous beach, close to Hamilton,.
Love this place. Quite and on the beach. I like the ground floor rooms as the porches have a roof.

Right on the beachPosted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Location was great- on the bus line. Market right off property to pick up some items. 15 ride to Hamilton, 40 min to Docyard.
Cons: It would be great to have some amenities- perhaps some beach equipment like snorkel mask or floaty.
Location: There is a super diner up the block- Parekete Cafe. Excellent prices and good food. Next beach over was the most amazing restaurant MIkeys.
This is a quiet hotel with an excellent location. If you want to just rest on the beach, this is the hotel for you! Right on the bus route which helps with expenses.

Best value and overall experiencePosted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Proximity to the beach, restaurants, bus routes, well maintained outdoor spaces and public gathering spaces, the view from ALL rooms.
Cons: The decor in the bedrooms is dated (and was upon my last visit in 2010 when it had just been renovated!)
Location: Railway trail, south shore beaches, Paget Marsh
We specifically picked Coco Reef for our honeymoon because it provides the most authentic Bermuda experience. You can find nicer, newer, or more lavish hotels (for twice the price!) but you honestly won't find anywhere else on Bermuda where you have the beach as easily accessible as Coco Reef. Elbow Beach is one of the most sought-after destinations on the island and it's literally steps from your room. The decor in the bedrooms themselves is admittedly dated, but when you have a location like Coco Reef you're not going to be spending much time in the room! It's steps from the beach, next door to 4+ great restaurants at the Elbow Beach Resort, 1/4 mile from the historic Railway Trail, and right on the bus route. If you manage your expectations appropriately to realize you're not going to be getting turndown service and other amenities of a $800+ per night hotel, it's a great find! My husband and I live in one of the greatest cities in America and find Bermuda is the only place we can get away for a relaxing vacation unlike anything you'll find in the US.

The views are fabulous!Posted Jul 24, 2015
Cons: I would get a gel/foam mattress. You can get them very inexpensively.
Location: We traveled the entire Island by Moped which was really fun! We went to King Henry VIII and danced on Saturday night. We ate at The Dining Room.
The ocean and beach are fabulous. You can snorkel right off the beach! What a relaxing vacation! We love Coco Reef and will be back again!
