It took a long time for someone to notice that I was at the desk to check in, especially since I had a reservation. I requested a room in a quiet part of the hotel, but was given a room in a very busy/noisy area. My reservation was for a queen size bed, but the bed was much smaller. Then the housekeeper tried to enter my room at 1000 on the first morning (thankfully I always keep my door completely locked), which is something that I’ve never had happen in all my years of travel. Not only was the do not disturb sign missing (which I always use when it’s available), but 1000 is too early for housekeeping or anyone else to be bothering guests. It was also obvious that housekeeping wasn’t informed of which rooms had current occupants and their departure date. The room itself was mostly clean, except for the several bugs that I found during my stay. I found a large caterpillar like insect in the sink. I know an ant or two and the occasional fly will happen sometimes, which doesn’t bother me, but this was the first time that I found a large bug in a hotel room. When I checked out at the usual time, it took several minutes before the desk attendant noticed me standing there. Overall, it wasn’t the stay I was hoping for. I don’t need or expect much from the hotels I stay at, so a hotel has to be pretty bad if I’m disappointed by one. This isn’t a place I plan to stay at in the future. Beware, none of the staff are native English speakers and are very difficult to understand.
