On 5/31, my husband went to open the drapes all the way and noticed we had a sliding door to a so-called patio. Mind you we were on the first floor facing the parking lot. My husband went to open the sliding door and the lock was broken, the door was unable to be locked which meant we were in a room that could have been accessible by anyone from the outside, ground level. Cleaning staff apparently did not know this door was broken?? My husband went to the front desk to have maintenance called to have door fixed. He was told maintenance was not in at that time. My husband then asked for a screwdriver, being handy, would attempt to fix himself. They actually allowed him to attempt to fix, however, lock completely broken and unable to be repaired. We were then told we would be moved to a new room on the second floor and offered a free breakfast for the inconvenience. Easy off and on the highway. Lots of dining choices nearby. Make sure you watch out for the geese during the spring-they do warn you. Friendly staff. Room was worn out, cigarette burns on furniture and walls, drapes torn. Slightly noisy from outside sounds. Elevator inspection is a few months past due. Refrigerator not good, you have to push a reset button to turn it on for 2 hours at a time. That’s tough when you are there for 4 days and can’t constantly monitor that.
