Bokong Vacation Packages
Bokong is situated approximately 60 miles (97 kilometers) east of the national capital Maseru, and approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) northeast of Lesotho.
Traveling through Lesotho should be an adventure, so why not jump in the car and visit a few of the other population centers around Bokong. If you're keen to explore more of the region, you'll find Likalaneng, 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the northeast, and Sehonghong 35 miles (56 kilometers) to the northwest.
If you are after things to do inside, you can't better Lesotho's excellent craft workshops. These are ideal places to learn about the region's rich cultural tapestry and perhaps pick up a gift or two.
Lesotho offers travelers a wide range of gentle pursuits, such as bird watching and shore fishing. If you're not the kind to go on holiday merely to shuffle between the pool and the buffet, Lesotho offers plenty of outdoor-adventure pursuits like hiking and horse riding.
Make sure you let your tastebuds loose in Lesotho's eating establishments. You'll see that cassava and fish are popular elements of many local foods. No vacation in Lesotho would be finished without ordering a pap-pap (boiled cornmeal dish) or makoenya (fried cakes). Once the main course dishes are cleared away order the mouthwatering milk tart (made from condensed milk). For those who like to relax with a nice cold beer, order a Maluti Beer. It's one of the popular drinks in Lesotho. And, regardless of what time of day it is, Lesotho is a great place to have tea.
Even the best vacation can't last forever, so when it's time go home, head to the nearest major airport in Maseru, 55 miles (89 kilometers) to the west.
