“We stayed at Shalimere for Mothers Day Weekend, and it was Perfect!!! The owners go above and beyond to make you and your dog feel welcomed. The house has everything we needed and then some to make us feel right at home. Our pup loved the basket of toys, and lounging on the gated-in wrap around deck with us. My only comment is that you don’t get 180 degree views like this without sacrificing some privacy…there are no fences here, and there are neighbors on all sides of you. Luckily for us, those……

“Our stay was really magical. The home is outfitted with everything you could possibly need - lots of towels and kitchen accessories. Everything was very comfortable, including the beds and the sofas -we especially appreciated the blackout curtains in the bedrooms. “The location, beach access and view from home was amazing! The home was decently stocked, but some needs some small improvements. The faucet in the shower needs replaced & the sink is rickety in the bathroom. There were ant bait traps all over the home, and we saw a few ants. The main concern is the entrance to the home. It’s not really the grade of the driveway, but the blind entrance onto HWY 1. The shrubs should be removed and a mirror added for better vision. We had to use my 16 year old……

“We spent four nights in this great home. It's in a nice location on a very quiet cul-de-sac. Close to day hiking trails and Gualala for restaurants. Home was very well equiped - we cooked several meals without finding any missing household items. Hot tub works great...which is sometimes a rarity in rental homes. “Beautiful getaway! The house is very spacious for 2 couples but is not really a three bedroom house for 3 couples. Third bedroom not set up as a bedroom.Very open plan. Upstairs bedroom completely open so noise from downstairs can disturb if resting or sleeping early in the evening. Beautiful bathrooms. Not a cosy house but great open views across the meadow to the sea.”

“The ocean views from the master bedroom are sublime. House is clean, kitchen is well equipped but pots and pans need to be upgraded. Do bring everything you need for cooking. Internet worked well, entertainment system is very outdated. The hot tub is great, much newer than it shows on the pictures. Bath and kitchen cabinets show some signs of wear. The proximity (just steps) to the bluff trail is an extra plus! The entry to the "Crow Nest" bedroom (above the garage and detached from the house)……
