Lovely old building, so older style within.

Pros: Staff. Absolutely excellent food at good rates.
Cons: Perhaps some more reds on the wine list. What we had was excellent, though.
Location: In the pretty and quirky small town of Brora. The hotel is central and the area around is just stunning. Have a visit to a local distillery.
Very helpful staff. We felt looked after from the first.

Needs a refurb but ok for a 1 night stop

Posted Nov 8, 2017
Pros: Low cost
If you want a lower cost hotel it is perfectly acceptable, with the rooms being clean. They are not to the standard a tourist would expect. More suited for working accommodation. Bathrooms are particularly tired.

Great stay and dinner.

Great stay and a really good dinner in the hotel restaurant. Water pressure in the shower was a bit low but it worked just fine. Recommend the hotel if you're in Brora to visit the Clynelish Distillery.

Close to distilleries

Posted Sep 22, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: The water and the flooring
Location: Distilleries, coast, northern highlands
Nice location. The staff and the food are great. The inn is older, so the sound carries, the floors creak and slope and the water temp control isn't easy.

Although this hotel is rather old and could do with a makeover the staff are very very nice, charming infact nothing was too much trouble that includes offering a hand to carry our bag to the room

more of a pub with rooms . . .

Posted Aug 20, 2017
Pros: location
Cons: needs upgrading . . . and more staff.
Location: I was passing through, but seemed like a good outdoorsy family holiday destination.
Convivial main road pub with good food, the staff were stressed because of lack of numbers. My room was disappointingly small and badly laid out - the bulky wardrobe prevented access to the only electrical socket. The en-suite barely allowed the door to open so close was the toilet itself, the washbasin was tiny and also the shower cabinet. Plenty of hot water and pressure though. Squeaky floors and noisy toilet flush. Clean comfortable bed, clean towels. Good breakfast apart from awful orange juice! Parking across the road in the Co op car park.
