The Butchers Wife was a great starting point for our trip. Excellent location, great service and the room was so good. Big king sized bed, oversized shower, great communal area, left luggage space all included. Thanks Janni for a great stay.

The room was on the ground floor, so to keep the room private the blinds had to be shut all the time. This made the room fairly dark but that fit perfectly with the design. Bathroom was very spacious and had a lovely open glass wall to a small indoor garden. At no time did we have any personal contact to the staff, but all our questions were answered promptly by messaging and there was a beautiful breakfast set up for us in the morning, as if by magic.

Excellent little hotel

Lovely cute little bijou hotel. Tucked away from noise of the town but only 2 minutes to the main square. Could do with parking or advice to book parking in advance in extremely busy times. Breakfast was wow!!

A great stay. Well located, great amenities and easy parking nearby. Really central location but quiet. Comfortable rooms, clean and good specification. All amenities we needed and a welcoming reception area. We would not hesitate to return. 10/10.

The location and superb breakfast made our stay extra special. We were in one of the suites which was very spacious and clean. The larger sign outside says ‘The Butcher’s Wife’ NOT ‘B&B Chester’, so look out for that! B&B Chester is marked on the door bell, took a few minutes to spot once we got to the square. Both hosts we met at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend a stay

Really well positioned for a break in Bruges. Large sized property with a welcome fire place for the colder evenings. 2 min walk from the main market square. Property was clean and check in was very simple.

Perfect location to the square, 5 minute walk to the restaurants. perfect hosts, clean and comfortable. AMAZING breakfasts. would stay again without question. Stairs are tight and plentiful so if mobility is an issue, might have to consider elsewhere, however no issues for us.

Although the property and amenities were excellent, I was very confused about the check-in instructions that were sent by Expedia on behalf of Chester B&B. The email directed me to go to another B&B. We went to Chester and found the envelope with my name and room number waiting for us as originally expected. We had selected Chester because of its proximity to Market Square. We definitely would stay here again!

Vorig jaar hebben wij deze B&B geboekt omdat het zo goed bevallen was hebben wij opnieuw gekozen voor deze B&B zelfde kamer alleen een nacht langer. Vorige keer zat er netjes ontbijt bij, tot de mze verbazing stond er op Onze envelop dat er geen ontbijt was inbegrepen. Wij vonden dit erg raar omdat dit er vorig jaar wel gewoon bij zat en het immers een Bed & Breakfast betreft. Ook tijdens het boeken via Expedia krijg je niet de mogelijkheid om inclusief of exclusief ontbijt te boeken. Meteen heb ik de B&B houder gecontact en deze vertelde mij dat wanneer er via Expedia geboekt wordt er geen ontbijt is inbegrepen. Wel kregen wij de mogelijkheid om 1 dag ontbijt er bij te boeken voor €30 p.p. De volgende dag ging namelijk niet meer lukken volgens de eigenaar. Hierdoor moesten wij dus opzoek naar een ontbijt tentje waarop je van te voren niet hebt gerekend. Als er duidelijk had gestaan dat dit zonder ontbijt was dan hadden wij zeker niet geboekt via deze weg. Andere aanbieders bieden namelijk het verblijf incl ontbijt aan voor bijna de zelfde prijs. Erg misleidend om een Bed en Breakfast aan te bieden zonder ontbijt. Ook viel ons op dat nu een jaar later de staat van de kamer er wat geleefd uit ziet erg veel beschadigingen her en der. De schoonmaak checkt zeker niet op spinnenwebben die aan het plafond hangen. De badkamer is aan de onderste stenen erg vies op de voegen, erg onhygiënisch. Met diverse vochtplekken op de muren. In het vervolg boek ik niet meer met Expedia

Buen hotel en una zone excelente de la ciudad. Nos tocó el ático, hay que subir bastantes escaleras, está bien para jóvenes o gente con maletas pequeñas. El sitio es muy acogedor y se nota que hacen todo con cariño y esmero Muy bonito y recomendable
