We stayed at the lodge over Memorial Day weekend 2019 and while it was full we all had plenty of space. The staff even built us a fire to roast marshmallows over! The rooms are well appointed but the nature of the building you can hear your neighbors. They have sound machines to help with that! The staff were friendly and welcoming, but the room was not made up each day. The beds were not made and towels not changed. I don't know if this is policy in a lodge, but it was disconcerting. The breakfast didn't have very much variety, nothing was made there, everything was convenience foods bought at the store. Everything else was fine. The staff was helpful in giving directions. Friendly hosts. Quiet. Zip lining available. Breakfast each morning. Books, games and movies to choose from. Close to the gorge park and hiking trails. Shelly and Allen did a fantastic job of making us feel welcome and at home. Just a five minute drive to Muir Valley and a few more minutes to Miguel's. The lodge was very cozy and comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. I brought our own food and fixed it there since there’s not much around. The only problem we ran in to was our room was very warm. Thankfully the nights and mornings were cool so we’d open our sliding glass door and it would cool down. It definitely wouldn’t deter us from staying again.
