“Visited with friends and had a good stay. The rooms and restaurant were of a high standard. Check in was via App although as I was remote from networks at times it was a bit complex. In room breakfast was good but I would have preferred a cooked Irish. The Restaurant could not take credit cards on the night due to equipment failure so had to pay the next day. Businesses should have back up options available .... spent half an hour standing around while a workaround approach was agreed.”

“Honestly, everyone coming to Ireland should stay here. It’s a beautiful property tucked away on Valentia island, and really close to Portmagee if you’re heading to the Skelligs. The restaurant is great, and the staff are so nice. It was the highlight of our trip.”

Andy communicated promptly and gave clear instructions on where to locate our key and room. Quiet location just a few minutes’ drive from the quay in Portmagee. Would totally recommend Seagull Cottage.”

“The hotel had only just opened after a full rebuild. It was tastefully done and the location was in the centre of everything. We only had one night there but it was wonderful. The Manager was very helpful. Highly recommended.”

“We only stayed one night there. The location is perfect, only a few minutes to many restaurants, the Murphy's icecream, and the supermarket is just around th corner. The problem is that you can clearly hear the footsteps from upstair and the noise last until midnight. But the room itself is tidy and clean.”

“Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cet hôtel. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié de pouvoir bénéficier d’un early check-in, ce qui nous a permis de profiter pleinement de notre journée. Le personnel a également été courtois, serviable et disponible pour répondre à nos demandes. Le seul point à améliorer serait la ventilation dans les chambres. Avec la pluie et l’humidité, la chambre est rapidement devenue très chaude et humide durant la nuit. Nous avons dû laisser la fenêtre ouverte……

“Book the stay, called to arrange a taxi to the hotel. Told the lady we were arrive late because of flight cancellation and she said to call 3 taxi services the day of travel. No taxis are working at 8:30 pm on the coast. So there was no way to make it to the hotel and we couldn’t get a refund. Disappointing and frustrating. The lady should have informed us of the area and how taxi’s don’t run late, I could have cancelled and gotten my money back earlier. Paid for a stay I could never arrive at.”
