She immediately found food under the desk. I tried to pull her back and opened her mouth, but was only able to get a small piece of whatever it was out of her throat. She went crazy sniffing. We've stayed in many pet rooms, but she has never acted so frantic. She then found more food behind the garbage can. I called and spoke with the manager who was super kind and very apologetic. I asked if i could use their vacuum and she brought it to the room. There was so much stuff on the floor. You could hear the vacuum picking everything up, and not just beside the wall or under the bed, but in the actual high traffic areas as well. We were horrified. My husband then noticed foid crumbs on the tv stand and dresser, so the room was obviously not cleaned. The carpets were a wrird color and pattern, so no noticeable if dirty just by sight. I called and spoke with the manager again and asked if we could get a different room. She put us in a non pet room which was much better, but defintely would not stay again. Our poor girl has had diarrhea for the last day and a half, with blood. So whatever she got definitely flared her IBD. As a former head housekeeper, I am aware of the standards for a hotel room, especially when the rates are nearly $150 a night. Also the website indicates that there is a pool which the only pool is an outside pool. Housekeeping not once asked if we needed fresh towels or our trash taken out. They gave us a different room, but the cold water shower knob didn't work At ALL! We had a bulb out in a lamp, a Kleenex on the floor, broken lamp knob, and the lamp shades were still wrapped with plastic from shipment.Also, the TV turned off when we ran the microwave.
