"We stayed the Alienor gite, just outside the lovely village of Lanquais near the Dordogne river. Our host Ann is really excellent host. The house is excellent - all the comforts of home, plenty of space, great welcome supplies, spotlessly cleane, nice and cool in the really hot recent weather and excellent value for money. The site up on the side of a wooded hill was really quiet and relaxing, had great views and lovely countryside or riverside walks. The large private garden and facilities...

"Thibaud, the host, has created a lovely property that is very comfortable and well equipped. The house was beautifully clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool is also lovely and very private. Thibaud was charming, very helpful and very responsive. We would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to return. "

So handy for the airport and places to explore although the property and pool are so fabulous, we didn’t explore as much as we thought we would. "10/10. Vorig jaar naar hetzelfde huis geweest. Dit jaar waren er enkele aanpassingen zoals airco over het hele huis. Een aangename aanpassing. Voor de rest nog steeds een top huis op een top locatie."

"We just had a 1 night stay on a Sunday (which did limit our dining options). Hotel is walkable (with luggage) from/to the train station, which added to its already very good value. We enjoyed its quiet location, short walk to old town (to see the “required” statues of Cyrano & the river). Clean & comfortable room. We did not partake of breakfast. Pleasant & helpful staff (helping me to print some required paperwork & advising on dining options)."
