Michael was very helpful but the girls totally ignored us when we were at the front desk. They took care of a business lady before us and we were standing at the desk first.

Called from the airport, when reaching front desk, she stated where I had to meet the shuttle. I do wear hearing aids so I asked her to repeat, she angrily repeated the location and then promptly hung up. When I called for a wake up call, it was the same, I always say thank you but your staff does not know how to say you are welcome. I travel a lot , this is the worst I have seen.

I was not able to stay at Marriott Midway. I had a confirmation number through Hotels.com and upon arrival was notified that the hotel was sold out. No phone call, no notice from either Marriott or Hotels.com. At the end of a long, busy, stressful and tiring day - even with a confirmation and my credit card charged - no room in the inn. Fortunately the area around Marriott Midway has a number of hotels in close proximity and I was sent to the Courtyard Marriott. Hotel ratings are low because I never made it past the front desk.

The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Hotel had a dirty laundry funk but I think that had more to do with the hockey tournament that was in town.

Chicago Marriott Midway

Arrived at hotel at 8:30am and was allowed to check in to room which was fantastic. Shuttle ran frequently to and from airport /train station. Front desk staff was always friendly and took care of any issues we experienced.
