Stayed for a week, made a reservation for another three days. Went to pay for the extra three days and was told the system was down so I couldn’t pay. I asked if they could just charge my card when the system came back up and the rude woman at the desk said she couldn’t do anything, because she had to have the physical card. Even though they didn’t ask for my card when I checked in. Apparently before 6 PM they can’t do anything for you but after 6 PM they’ll charge your card no matter what. I didn’t have time to wait for the system to come back up, so I had to remove my baggage from the room as quickly as possible and leave. Because I had to rush, I left an electronic smoking device and charger in the room. I called the hotel and told them what happened, maybe an hour after the checkout time, and asked them to hold on to it for me because I had to come back that night anyway. When I came to check in again, not only did they not ask for my physical card again, but they claimed not to have my device. When I said that I had called earlier and asked them to hold on to it for me, I was told that they couldn’t do anything because “no one left them anything or said anything to them.” I told them that I was going to report the items stolen if I did not get them back the next day. I was told that I wasn’t allowed to smoke in the room anyway, which I wasn’t doing, simply charging the device. I was also told that I “could check out if I didn’t like it.” Completely unbelievable.
