I enjoy staying in old hotels with a lot of history, and this is one that has that. When I go around just to take pictures of the hotel, that says a lot. The only complaint I had was lack of staff at reception. We waited in line for an hour to get checked in, which limited the time I had planned for other ventures. Especially on a busy weekend with a lot going on. I do understand the staffing issues in this country. Which is why I did not voice my fustration.

Other than the location and lobby this was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Chicago.When I checked in the staff made me double swipe my card and without me knowing was scammed into paying for somebody else stay and my own. Still haven’t received a refund or any response from them. The rooms were outdated and you have to shower with cold water!!

Good looking hotel but the staff is very rude. Also they dont explain the policy about the strikes when you reserve or even when you check in, i had an inconvenient with a security and end up leaving a day before my stay. HORRIBLE

The hotel is beautiful, however, I was not pleased with my room assignment. I did not have a view of anything but the brick walls and what looked like an air conditioning system. I found the staff to be pleasant, efficient and attentive except for the person who checked me out of the hotel on Sunday morning. After checkout, I presented my parking ticket to the desk person and asked him if he would call the garage for me. I was informed I could take the elevator down to the garage and the attendant would assist me. After checking his name tag, the desk person called the garage to let them know we were on our way down and to have our car ready pronto.
