"Lovely place in a stunning setting, would have without a doubt been 5 stars across the board until we went for breakfast. Food was very nice, but we were sat at a table that wasn’t the best situated and felt a bit close to others when better tables were available and offered to other guests but not us. Table hadn’t been cleaned properly and there were marks on the glass. Getting the attention of staff was an issue and I didn’t want to bring this up in front of other paying guests. We then sat there nearly 30 minutes without the table being cleared or being asked for any further drinks, then another 10 minutes to get the bill, left us with little time to get back to our room and pack before our checkout time."

"Friendly staff at check in. Given a piece of paper per room for times of pool etc … does this change frequently? not very environmentally friendly to print it out each time for each room. Went to use pool and sauna etc to hear one of the staff moaning that a child had poo’ed in the children’s pool and it was now out of action and on top of that the steam room had packed up and no staff. We did use the adult pools and sauna which were fine. We did not eat at the hotel but came back for drinks. I’m glad we didn’t eat as I over heard other guests complaining about their food and the orders leaving one man to wait and eat alone. We were waiting at the bar for a long time to get served our drinks. We sat outside and as it got darker the many lights strung up did not come on. The actual layout and areas available within the hotel were good but the signage could have been a lot better. The rooms were good but heavy duvets for this time of year regardless of the heat wave. There was a kettle with tea coffee etc but no fridge which was a disappointment. Breakfast … not what I expected at all. Not enough staff or attention to detail. Various fruit juices none of which were labelled the orange juice was easy to spot but unsure what the others were. The water was empty and never filled up. There was a lot of mess that wasn’t cleared up, poor choice of coffee from the machines and no where to put teabags etc. I’m not sure how this is a four star hotel our trip was a let down"

"I have to say this was the most disgusting hotel room I have ever stayed in. The bedding was clean but the carpets and the room hadn't been hoovered properly. Under the beds and desks etc hadn't been cleaned for years,dust all over the room. The bathroom was surprisingly clean, just a bit tired and dated. We arrived at 10pm with 2 young children staying for 1 night. I didn't complain and just put it down to an experience. Never again will I stay at a days inn. We also think they have bed bugs as we are all itching. I understand it's a 3 star hotel but cleanliness should be the minimum standard."
