Perfect house for a large family

Beautiful house with a very large pool and backyard. Very close proximity to the beach. Had an amazing time with the whole family.

Great home for families

We enjoyed our stay very much. The bedrooms are very spacious. This home had everything you would have in your own home, I do mean everything. There is no need to pack any special dishes, linens, nor games. The only thing we couldn’t find was a basketball. The backyard is a great size for kids and has a privacy fence. The ceiling fans need to be dusted more often.

Lovely house!

We had a wonderful 9-adult family vacation in this spacious house. The kitchen is exceptionally well outfitted and the main surfaces were clean. There was plenty of room to spread out and spend time together. The location is superb - less than a 2 min walk to the beach and 1-2 min drive to nearby groceries and restaurants; some of us walked to a nearby ice cream shop. We also enjoyed the home theater and hot tub amenities. Some surfaces within the home are a little worn but overall the home was clean and we were very comfortable. Our entire group agreed that we would love to return to An Ocean Song in the future!

Comfortable but . . .

The house was comfortable but could use a fresh coat of paint/freshening up. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The internet was slow and connection was lost multiple times. But, everything considered, we would rent it again.

This house has all the extras! Location is close to the beach. Plenty of room for 18 people. Pool is full sun so it nice and warm. Nice big backyard for games

Great Location

House was beautiful. Loved the pool. Called I. Dishwasher twice and no Internet. Came and looked at Internet on our last day. Worked couple hours and then gone again. Pool was awesome.

Holiday Family vacation

The house was as listed. It was spacious even with 12 adults and 3 children. The beds were comfortable and all amenities needed was provided. Great recreation room and theater room. The only issues were the theater room had not be vaccumed. We had a leak from the tub in the upstairs bathroom to the bathroom underneath and a couple of the sink drained really slow. We called management and they sent someone over to take care of the problem. The location to the beach was great and the community was quiet. We had a great time and would stay there again.

Great family week.

We had a wonderful time at an Ocean Song. The house has plenty of space for large families like we had, 11 adults and 3 littles. We went through and cleaned everything again due to current conditions. Overall it was clean on the inside, the front door area on the porch had lots of cobwebs with bugs. The paint needs touched up lots of nails showing rust. I know that this is due to the salt, but its such a beautiful house to let that go. The TV's and the very complicated system left us with most sets not being used. We could not get the beautiful theater room setup to work. We had promised the kids movie nights. I sent emails and was told a workorder was submitted, but we never had anyone come to look at it. The 1st floor ice maker didn't work as was stated in earlier reviews. Now with all that being said I would still go back, it is a beautiful home in a great location. The pool is gorgeous and back yard area is an awesome place to hang out. Thanks for allowing us to use your home!

Great location, needs about $50k in clean up to bring it back to the pics we see

Feels like owners haven’t stepped foot inside home in 3+ years as it needs updating and some love... paint needed in and out, 20% of light bulbs not working, front railing 3rd floor unsafe, front door area bug central needs power wash, electronics old with all but one speaker working

A picture does not say a thousand words

The pictures that we saw of the property and what we needed is why we chose this location. To say the least the what we got when we arrived was disgraceful. The house is in disrepair, run down and filthy. Every room, every space, every inch disgusting. These places ask an exorbitant amount of money to stay so these places should be spotless and in top top condition. There were blood splotches on some of the bedding, black mold growing on some of the registers for the air conditioning. The shower in my bedroom had mold and mildew growing inside it. Every bathroom had to be cleaned again after the “specially trained” cleaning crew was done. There was some questionable drops on the floor next to one of the beds. You couldn’t walk barefoot in the house or your feet turned black. There’s green algae and mold growing on the outside of the house. Several of the outdoor Adirondack chairs were broken, most of the screens for the windows were torn and rusting, as well as, rust running down from the bolts used to attach the siding. Some of the boards were loose in the steps. A lot of the equipment inside was either not working or broken. We had to clean both refrigerators before putting anything away. I could go on and on about how awful this house was. When I called the property management company all I got were excuses about why the house was so dirty and that they had two of their “top cleaning inspectors” inspect the house before letting us check in. However once I told her I took pictures the conversation changed a bit. She was rude and continually talked over me when I tried to explain the condition of the house. Needless to say I will never be back to the outer banks. And I will not be booking anything from Vrbo again.

Perfect location and lots of space

The house is great and the location to the beach and the public walkway is perfect. The view of the beach is great too. We would definitely rent this property again. Though we will bring our own knives with us the next time. The knives were not sharp at all. The only two complaints we had was the property did not appear clean upon our arrival. Floors were not swept, rooms were not vacuumed, there was sand on top of dressers, dust on bookshelves, one bathroom had a wet washcloth, soap, and shampoo left in the shower. The other complaint is one of the bunk bed rails was broken and the bed was unusable. The rental company did come and fix the rail as well as send a cleaning crew to re-clean the day after we arrived. Other than those two things, the property was perfect.

Our Stay at "An Ocean Song"

We were very pleased with the spaciousness and arrangement of this property! The proximity to the ocean was great. We enjoyed the large yard, the pool, and the beach equipment. We had excellent service from the management when needed. We found the house relatively clean. However, there is a terrible infestation of large spiders that definitely needs to be addressed immediately!! Also, the master bath shower has mildew which could be eliminated with Clorox. Overall, this was a great experience, and we are interested in renting this house next summer.

Beautiful location

It was a wonderful location quick and short access to the beach. The house was good minus a few small things. It was well equipped with supplies to function for a week. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans etc. plenty of beds and spacious. The only problem was that when we arrived of course we had to wait for the house the be “cleaned”. But I’m pretty sure nobody had touched it since the Covid shutdown. The outside toilet was mold mold molded. The icemaker in the upstairs kitchen was molded and stunk bad. The shower in the master bath upstairs had mold all in the grout. All the shower heads had mold on them as well. We took pictures to show the property manager. Also there were ants everywhere in the kitchen all week long. Then we saw numerous cockroaches. And yes we have pictures. The garbage disposal stopped up twice the other sink drain didn’t hold water. We paid extra to have the pool heated but it took two days before we noticed the warmer water. Our overall stay was good just definitely could have been cleaner for the money.

Great Vacation home!

This property was awesome to stay in! It was super clean when we got there, and because no one stayed in the property the week before we came they allowed us to have an early check in free of any charges! The back yard of this house is by far the biggest I have ever seen at one of these beach houses, and was great for throwing the Frisbee and football around. Beach access is probably about 65 yards away from the house, and I can honestly say that walking to and from the beach never really felt like a chore. I try to mix up houses/locations on the outer banks each year to keep things exciting, but would definitely consider staying hear again.

Offers so much!

The location was of utmost importance to us. The walk to (and back from) the beach access was a breeze, even for the littles! The house was spacious and had plenty of seating for our large group. Kitchen is extremely well stocked! Outdoor pool, lawn, hot tub area was a great space to unwind from the beach. There were multiple beach chairs and toys that came with the house too. Pictures don't really show it, but there are multiple decks with lots of adirondak seating. This was our best house in 3 years and would strongly recommend it! Rental agency was very prompt addressing any questions/issues we encountered. Room for improvement: -House was clean, however, they could have done a better job of dusting. - Instructions on how to use specific TVs. TV in theatre room had 5 remotes! Also, instructions on how to operate in house speakers -Keurig.
