To avoid embarrassing the owner I will refrain from saying what was. Underneath the beds were a collection of debris as well, which I decided not to clean out in case we would get further disgusted. I recommend a peephole and additional lock be added to the door. It may be required by law. Also, towel hooks would be great in the bathroom. Instructions for using the a/c and heater would be helpful.
