"Very well equipped, clean cottage. We received a warm welcome from the owners and a comprehensive introduction to the property. Due to the unseasonably bad weather whilst we were there, we were unable to make best use of the facilities but there were plenty of them, including a heated pool. The only criticism was that the chairs in the living room were not very comfortable but I imagine guests would normally spend their time outside where there is plenty of garden furniture."

We received all the necessary explanations and supplementary information for our stay. The accommodation is very spacious. "Good option for an overnight stay. I had booked the “superior” room but had to ask for it after being allocated a cheaper room. Service from reception was pleasant. The “duvet” bed cover was coarse and not pleasant to sleep under. My room AC dripped about 500ml of water overnight - the waste bin collected it! The adjacent grill restaurant served decent food at reasonable prices. Bonus was the reasonably priced electric car charging terminals. Note that the hotel is locked until 4pm, so don’t bother hoping for an early checkin. "

"The Auberge de l’Abbatiale is a wonderful small family run hotel with excellent accommodation in a historic and very interesting building. Very friendly owner and staff. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Thoroughly recommended as a stop off point while travelling through France as it is located in a picturesque historic village fairly close to an exit on the A31 (13 km away). Half way between Calais and the south of France."
