Nice hotel close to Deep Ellum

There are several reasons. The first one is before arriving, I called the hotel to find out what the amount of the hold placed on my debit card would be and I was told it would be about 1/3 of the total for my stay which was just one night. The morning of my checkout I checked my account and noticed the hold placed on my account was for $123 and change. When I asked the front desk why they couldn't explain but instead just insured that the difference would be refunded in 2-3 business days. This made other plans impossible and really upset me and my family! The second issue is that the morning of checkout I called for room service for my daughter some breakfast to inquire of the pricing was $9 to the room or if there would be other charges and she explained that it would just be the $9. When the employee delivered the food the receipt had a delivery charge and tax on it which is fine but that was not what the front desk said it would be. Additionally there had been some sort of party or something because I could hear the music well into the night which made it difficult to get to sleep! Overall, I feel like I was lied to multiple times during this short one night stay. The facility is quite nice and I didn't have any issues with it at all.

Run down hotel with careless staff at checkin

There was an event the weekend I stayed so when I arrived I was told to find parking elsewhere even though I had many bags and needed help with them. When I finally found parking, there were no signs telling me where to go to find the reservation desk. Once I found the desk, the lady barely said hello, didn't advise me about any amenities in the hotel or that parking would be extra on top of the room fees and didn't offer to add that charge to my room. I was also woken up at 1am by a very loud drunken crowd who was walking and yelling down the hallway outside of my room. This was supposed to be a night of rest for me because I have four young kids at home and my husband had offered to watch them so I could get a break for 24 hours. I went home even more tired than I arrived. So disappointed in this place.

Disgusting room

Pros: Large hotel, downtown area. Large room. Peet's coffee corner in hotel (only open until 4 pm, though).
Cons: Ants everywhere! Even in the beds. Sheets and towels were stained. Cigarette bud next to the bed.

Pros: Hotel staff and willingness to help. Also, the shopping area
Cons: No refrigerator, my room was a little small and the shower water pressure was a'little' weak.

One of my favorite downtown Dallas hotels!

Pros: I love the fast check-in/check-out service at this hotel. When you're in a rush in the morning, it's great having such fast, friendly service. The rooms are really clean and nice. Super comfortable beds and great showers.
Cons: I didn't like that I couldn't get the room to warm up at all. It was really cold when we got to our room and I turned the thermostat up to 80 degrees, but it was still 60 degrees in our room the next morning.

Great location in downtown area

Pros: Location
Short cab ride to American Airlines center. Valet and hotel staff very helpful and polite. Nice bathroom and lots of amenities for a small room. Couldn't have asked for anything else--very comfortable. Would stay again.

Solid OU Weekend Experience Again

Great location for Texas-OU Weekend. Get the rooms with Lounge access. Well worth it. Our AC was not cooling correctly the first night, but it was fixed promptly and there were no other issues. Will be back next year.
