“It is stunning. I had just booked via Expedia for one night en route from Lithuania / Poland back to Calais and LeShuttle, just on the basis that it was in roughly the right place. Tone was set by a great checkin with a wonderful receptionist who clearly liked working there (which is always a good sign). Ample free parking. Rooms were great, and place clearly so nice that I booked a second night. We used the additional day to hire electric bikes on site, and followed a recommended route……

“Cachet de Cire is een fijne plek om et overnachten. Er zijn drie kamers. IK had een schone, grote kamer met alle faciliteiten. Het ontbijt is met ingrediënten naar eigen keuze klaargemaakt en erg smaakvol. De gastvrouw is vriendelijk en voorkomend. Deze b&b ligt 10 minuten lopen van het centrum en vlakbij het station, waar ook tegen laag tarief kan worden geparkeerd.”

“Ein wirklich absolut empfehlenswertes B&B mit tollen Frühstücksbuffet und gemütlichen, modern ausgestatteten Zimmern. Das B&B verfügt über eine sehr geschmackvolle Einrichtung und war sehr sauber. Bei warmen Wetter steht ein Außenpool zur Verfügung. Sehr nette Gastgeberin, die uns ein unkompliziertes Einchecken ermöglichte und ein hervorragendes Frühstücksbuffet zauberte. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und es war auf unserer Belgien-Tour mit Abstand das beste B&B.”

“Ondanks sommige recensies troffen wij een goed onderhouden, schone en best wel ruime kamer aan. Het personeel was erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was goed en uitgebreid. Al met al een aanrader.”

“This hotel has a famous restaurant which is built on the border downstairs. Of courses, visitors come to Harley Nassau and Barrel Herlog is mostly for seeing the enclaves.”

“De kamer was schoon al kon het beter worden stofgezogen. Er lagen wel wat zaken op de vloer. Verder was het goed. Ontbijt klein schalig maar lekker. Verder weinig op aan te merken.”

“Don't follow GPS!!! The road is closed in front of the hotel and you have to look at the map instead. We were very lost forever late at night. Having said that once we were there it was perfect. ”

“Great stopover on our way to Poland and perfect for visiting Efteling park, which is only a short drive away. The hotel is nestled in a quiet, peaceful village. Despite our late arrival, the local restaurant staff went above and beyond, reopening the kitchen to make us a delicious meal. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had a wonderful "home away from home" feel. Highly recommended!”

“The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was spacious and relatively clean, so there are definitely some positives. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t stay here again because of the noise. The walls are very thin, and the door locking system is incredibly loud. Every time someone entered or left their room, the doors slammed shut with a bang. From around 7 to 10 every morning there was a constant stream of slamming doors, making it impossible to relax. It even woke me up during the night,……
