“The hotel made an excellent first impression. The ground-floor areas were attractive, modern and welcoming, and most of the staff I encountered were friendly, professional and helpful. Unfortunately, the positives largely ended there. The upstairs areas felt tired, dated and in need of refurbishment. In my opinion, they were more reminiscent of a budget hotel than the standard suggested by the hotel's marketing and pricing. On arrival, I also found the attitude of the two receptionists……
