“We chose this villa because of its excellent facilities. The villa is spacious and has great potential. Unfortunately, the condition of the property on arrival fell well below the premium standard presented in the listing. The biggest issue was the standard of cleanliness on arrival. The kitchen required a deep clean before we felt comfortable preparing food, with heavy grease on cupboards and surfaces and dead insects on the worktops.Throughout the week we discovered numerous maintenance issues……

“Well designed modern apartment for couples or solo travelers in a calm countryside SE of Paris close to the debut of Burgundy.Discreet yet welcoming hosts.Must be on wheels for mobility!”

“Old hotel that would need a refresh. Too expensive for this level of quality. Amazing staff though. And that’s really important.”

“Beautifully updated”

“Facilities are old ”

“This chateau is managed by a gracious French couple, Jean-Jacques and his wife Francine. They were exceptionally friendly and attentive to our needs, as visiting Americans arriving after an unexpectedly long day of travel from London, across the Channel from Dover to Calais, and then by our local driver, who was booked through the excellent Private Tours of England. I'll admit that we weren't as prepared as we might have been for our first night in France. Jean-Jacques and Francine spoke only……
