"Above all, the staff make the Duke of Richmond a lovely stay. They are genuinely friendly and service is impeccable. I cannot praise the staff high enough!!
The hotel itself is lovely and the room we had was extremely spacious and well equipped... even with writing paper, staples, post its etc. We were greeted with iced biscuits and a handwritten welcome note. The beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was excellent.
My son loved the heated pool which he used every day.
Breakfast was plentiful and cooked to order.
The hill to get here from town is a big one and factored in to how we planned our days out. It also meant that by the time we returned we couldn't face heading down the hill again for dinner so took the convenient option of dining in the restaurant. This worked well and the food was delicious.
All in all a great stay and we'd stay here again if in the area. "
