"The location and aesthetic of the place was amazing. The free breakfast and staff were top-notch. The beds were not comfortable at all and felt like they were from the 1800’s, my only complaint. Other than that, highly recommend. We were so tired from our adventures, it didn’t matter. Also loved the offer to call if the northern lights showed, we believe they did call, but we were so exhausted that we could not wake up. "

"The Reykjavik Edition is a lovely hotel and the location is very good. Staff were very attentive. We only had breakfast at the hotel and it was a very good selection of food on offer with gorgeous views overlooking the harbor. At peak times, they did run out of glasses and it took a while before they were replaced so people ended up using cups for their juice. We were a family of 3 staying in a double queen room. There is not enough storage in the room for 3 people and we travelled pretty light. I know the hotel is going for a dark/atmospheric look which I like, but they took it to far. We had every single light on in our room and it was still quite dark unless we opened the blinds. Heated flooring in the bathroom was a nice touch. Apart from the dark room, we would definitley stay here again."
