“The room was amazing, Garden View. The room is so well appointed and has a coffee machine, bathroom is excellent with a large shower. The host is very accommodating and rises in the morning to supply you with breakfast at your chosen time. The pool is good, spacious and very clean, with lots of available seating around the pool. The bathroom was good but be careful, the bath was very slippery, the shower however had good pressure and nice toiletries were provided. “Lovely house with a lot of space pool and large area to play.The reason for the 3 star is because there were a few things which surprised us and cumulatively these did affect things overall.The oven in the main house didn’t work which was mentioned on the previous reviews in the book - it actually did but there was a flick of a switch needed so we spent the 1st 8days without in a self catering place.The air conditioning was not in the whole place as we had interpreted from the write up and the 2……

“Beautiful gite with all the facilities you could think of. A lovely welcome package of bread, butter, jam, biscuits, tea, coffee, sugar, eggs and a bottle of sparkling wine. The hosts Fran and Johnny were on hand if needed and very friendly along with their lovely children. The gite was well decorated and very clean. The pool was extremely appreciated in temps of 42 degree.Could not fault anything. Would definitely recommend this holiday home to anyone. Local areas have lots to offer. We will……

“Beautiful house set within extensive gardens amidst the tranquil Charentes countryside. The House is comfortable, well equipped and full of character. The large garden is private and fully enclosed, with lots of quiet corners to sit and read or just admire the view. The fenced off pool area is excellent - and features ample seats. The Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. All in all this is a wonderful place for a holiday with friends or family in a beautiful corner of south west France.”

The locations is fantastic with the town a short walk away, where there was a Spar, brasserie & Indian restaurant (highly recommended).
