“Our experience at this "hotel" was mixed. The location was great, right in the old part of town, basically right on the water. The bed was okay, but not the best. The room was as advertised. There was a bit of noise at night from the pub, but this was noted in the listing. The Nespresso pods were nice in the morning. But there was no soap in the bathroom, and only one tiny garbage bin in the bathroom. Technically these things are not missing, but one assumes they don't need to bring soap……

"The hotel is pets friendly which we didn't know until we get there. So when we first got into our room, there was a strange odor which wasn't strong but exists. Took us a day to figure out it might be from pet odor. It is carpet flooring afterall. But the view is spectacular and I love the convenience of it closely adjacent to the Amsterdam central station. Breakfast has a great variety of food and fruits which is wonderful for a good morning start. Staffs are friendly, but it might be cultural differences--they tend to only focus on THE person they are servicing with, and let the next person wait without acknowledging them they are aware of them waiting-- which I thought was quite interesting. Overall good, but since it is in the city center and the room are rather small and not enough storage if you have two big luggages and carry-ons. Will definitely come back again but surely ask for a none-pet friendly room if there is one."

"Clean rooms. Spacious. Had a view. Nice bed. Liked the kitchenette. Location was good, in a safe and clean area, a little bit outside of old town. Staff was helpful. Liked the 24h front desk. They let us use the shower room post check-out before heading to the airport, which was great."

Summary (EN): The hotel is artistically stunning and the staff is incredibly kind (helped my elderly mom with a lower bunk!). However, the walk from the ferry is a struggle—it’s about 8 mins for light travelers, but took me 15 mins dragging two heavy suitcases. NO kitchen, NO fridge, NO kettle (must get hot water from the bar). Shared bathrooms for 40-50 people get messy by evening. Best for backpackers with light luggage! "
