"The hotel states "airport shuttle" as part of the booking but know you will need to pay for the city bus that stops at the hotel. It's definitely a walk to downtown, and with luggage, a taxi or bus is very highly recommended. Other than that, the rooms were nice and it was an affordable option if you don't mind being somewhat secluded from the other parts of town. Breakfast included was a nice amenity!"

"Really pleased with our stay here. Staff were helpful in allowing us to store our luggage whilst we wandered around the settlement before checking in properly. Single room was spacious enough with bed, wardrobe, desk, chair and mirror and decent floor space. The shared bathrooms are kept clean, one of them even had a full bathtub if you fancy a long soak. The restaurant does a good variety for breakfast with both hot and cold food and drink. We dined in the restaurant one evening and can highly recommend the food here. The windows have blackout blinds if you are stayed during the summer, though some light does still creep in and a sleep mask is recommended if you would struggle to sleep when it’s not dark. Overall, I’m glad we chose this hotel as it felt a lot more authentic and in keeping with the rest of Longyearbyen."

"Room was very nice. Not fancy, but very comfortable and clean. Location was GREAT, at least for me. Close to pretty much everything I cared about for my two day stay (while waiting for cruise to begin). Didn't clean room, but I didn't care. Staff was generally very nice and helpful. Only things I didn't like were: (1) wouldn't let me check in an hour or two early. (Bus driver had offered to drive me from hotel to lodge. Since they wouldn't allow early check-in, even though room was ready, I ended having to carry luggage a block.) 2) They wanted to charge hourly rate for late checkout, even though they told me they didn't need the room. I've never come across that before."
