Excellent hotel in as great locationPosted Dec 1, 2015
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: TV - subtitles
Location: Very close to Trinity College, shopping centre and to excellent restaurants
Tucked away in the backstreets, but close to College Green and within walking distance of the nicest shopping area, surrounded by excellent pubs, restaurants, and cafes, this is a wonderful hotel - from the friendly arrival and help at the front desk (young man from S. America) to the excellent staff in the breakfast room - Sudarsan & Cindy especially - the bar staff, the cleaning staff and concierge - all excellent! The room was spacious, the bathroom likewise, and the bed very comfortable. We had asked for a quiet room and we got it - never heard a sound at night. The breakfast was very good - a good if not enormous choice of fruits, cheeses, eggs, meats, and a nice range of bread - not enormous, but good quality. The cooked breakfasts were very good and they have lowered there prices so with the excellent service this is far better than anything outside. all in all we thought this a very good hotel with good amenities, wonderful staff, and a perfect location - our only slight criticism was of the ~TV that does not support subtitles ... for the hard of hearing (me) and foreign language guests, this is a minor quibble!

Decent Hotel, conveniently situatedPosted Oct 26, 2015
We stayed at the Brooks Hotel mid Oct for my husbands surprise 50th w/e. The hotel is very conveniently situated and in walking distance of most of the tourist attractions, bars and restaurants. We stayed on the 6th floor and you could still hear residual noise from party goers late at night/early morning but it wasn't too much of a problem. If your room is on the lower floors then this may be more of an issue. When we first entered the hotel reception there was a rather unpleasant sewerage' type smell which seem to linger all evening. Fortunately this did go by the following day! The room was very smart and you even get a choice of pillows from the pillow menu! Our only gripe was the bar staff. On each occasion we used the hotel bar, all, apart from one, bar staff were incredibly surly and unfriendly which was a pity as all other staff in the hotel were very pleasant. Not sure if this is because we were English as there was no other reason for such rudeness and they seemed very happy to serve non-English residents. Maybe this is just my speculation but the rudeness was very obvious to everyone in our party. Overall, I would certainly recommend this hotel but may be just choose to have your night cap in another bar before heading off to bed.

Boutique hotel in the centre of DublinPosted Oct 23, 2015
This is a lovely hotel which is spotlessly clean - even the lampshades get changed! The staff is so well trained, friendly and polite. The concierge, Connor, is so helpful and is a mine of information. The food is tasty and well presented. I would most certainly stay here again.

Best part of this hotel is the locationPosted Sep 21, 2015
Pros: Location was the best. Staff were very friendly. Best suited for seniors.
Cons: Fix the bathroom door problem, replace king beds with queen size, replace shower curtain with a glass door or a wider shower curtain rod
Location: Walking distance to everything you need. Pubs and shopping everywhere, all close by.
Location is great, as it's on a quiet street away from noisy bars, yet still within a few blocks of the centre of everything. Staff are very friendly and do their best to accommodate. The rooms are very small, and because of the shape of the building, the higher the floor, the smaller the room. King bed takes up the majority of the room. Bathroom needs updating. Tub is typical European narrow and the flimsy shower curtain blows in, leaving you with a 10 inch width to shower. A door stop is required in the bathroom to keep the door open, which became very annoying very quickly. This hotel is great for a 3 to 4 night stay. We were there for 2 weeks and wished we were in a more spacious, more modern setting. Suggestions: fix the bathroom door problem, replace king beds with queen size, replace shower curtain with a glass door or a wider shower curtain rod. Restaurant: same menu the entire two weeks we were there. Breakfast buffet at 20 Euros consisted of some yogurt, fruit, breads, hardboiled eggs and cold cuts. Get your full Irish breakfast at any pub or restaurant for a third of that price.

Was in a great location.Posted Aug 29, 2015
Room had single beds which were like you would find in a college dorm. Decor lacking but. Room. Clean. Shower had no water pressure Food was great at full Irish breakfast. No room service. If you wanted a bottle of water you had to go to a store. No ac either. Fair price for what you got. Nightclub on site so get a fifth floor room.

Pros: Staff and ambiance
Arrived at 7:30 in the morning, so of course it was too early to check in. They offered us tea and let us stay in the guest only lounge downstairs to rest a little. The consierage was Outstanding! The room was clean, and a decent size. Neighborhood is terrific and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast at the hotel was very appetizing.

Ideally located, and a top hotel In DublinPosted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Everything was carried out to make you feel welcome and a very valued client.
Cons: Nothing !
Location: Located in Drury St, everything was close at hand, for the historians, Dublin Castle, Trinity College, Irish Museum, shoppers Graphton St, all 10 mins.
Well we have stayed in quite a few hotels in Ireland, but this is without one of the best in Dublin we have stayed in. We were only a flying visit, to see Riverdance at the Gaeity theatre(a 2 minute walk), but on arrival,we were made to feel so welcome, everybody was so helpful, and the concierge, Connor was a major credit to the hotel, he was probably one of the nicest genuine person you will ever get to meet. Overall though it was a great place to stay, the bedroom was superb, we had a giant of a bed, we needed steps to get onboard ! And to add to it, there was a pillow "menu", so you could choose a pillow to suit you, never seen that before, but that just gives you an idea of the lengths they go to, to ensure the customer is happy. We would recommend this hotel to anybody who is in Dublin.
