The sink did not have any water pressure and the water did not come out very well. Also when my husband asked about a veterans discount we were told not if we booked online. The Army didn't ask if he had enlisted on line before sending him to Viet Nam to jump out of airplanes for his country. As you walk in the door there is sign saying to ask about the Veterans discount. False advertising.

It does not have its own driveway you had to drive through a restaurant parking lot to get there. Plus we have problems with our key cards.some of the doors are not working so we had to walk around to a door that was working. And sometimes our key card wouldn't even work in that door and I had to go all the way around to the main office to get in.

It was very easy to get to, as it is right off I-35. However, that also makes it loud. There were two gas stations, one Burger King, and two other restaurants. Most within a few steps. However, our room wasn't cleaned the whole time we were there (3 nights, four days). It was fairly clean, but not sparkling. The bed was squeaky and moved whenever I thought about rolling over on my other side. The AC worked great. There was a mini-fridge and a microwave (bonus!). There was no coffee in the rooms, but was coffee and hot water available in the lobby.

The pricing was ok, but the floors were dirty, our socks were black when we looked at them. We didn't get the room we reserved because a new person gave it to my daughter in law whos name is simular but no other info was verified. I reserved a handicap room on the first floor and got a room on the second floor instead, they didn't even ask my daughter in law if they would mind switching rooms, in my opinion that is what should have happened as I really needed to not have to do the steps all the time (no elevator). The key cards stopped working, ended up getting 3 different cards in a 2 day stay. I really would not recommend unless you really get a good deal. It would be ok for an overnight stay if thats all you wanted was a bed, the beds were comfortable.

Checked in at 4:30 and asked for a room that I could be close to my bike so that I could keep an eye on it, the clerk knew nothing about the rooms and gave me one on the second floor with a wall 8 feet from my window. It was the worst room choice ever and the clerk had no idea of that view, I asked the next morning and the new clerk was oblivious to that. I am almost certain the hotel wasn't full that night as well so they didn't need to use that room. Also asked cleaning staff for a box of tissue they said they didn't have any, no tissue?? They offered me and extra roll of TP!!! It was a terrible room but only because of the no view, nothing to see but a wall!!

We only came for a short (2day) visit because my boyfriend wanted to see the zoo in Duluth. All in all I was quite disappointed (I am from a really upper class family) my boyfriend who’s family is middle class actually was quite happy with the motel and the area. The area has quite lovely long bridges and if you aren’t looking for anything fancy, this is a lovely place to visit!
