They took us in last minute after a hellish time stuck in Heathrow for 1 1/2 days and greeted us with drink vouchers. Enough said. Five minute WALK from airport and car rentals, 1 minute walk to buses into Edinburgh which run 24/7. Food good, quiet rooms, clean. Lovely place.

Airport hotel with nice pool. Family room comfortable for 4. Hotel dining was decent and good value. Airport shuttle runs starting at 3am and this hotel is the last stop, it can be very full.

Our honeymoon holiday started pretty bad as our connecting flight was cancelled. Inside of travelling home we decided to stay near the airport and looked for a hotel with a pool. The doubletree has been lovely, the staff on reception were nice, the room is great with everything you need and very clean. The pool and gym are an added bonus. We had some noisy people till 1am in the adjoining room but not the hotels fault at all. Once we got to sleep we both said the bed was very comfortable. Would recommend and stay again in the future :)

While transferring my luggage to our room and making the room comfortable for the family, I received a parking ticket. This borders on entrapment and a money making scheme. The hotel may believe that it can wash it’s hands of this major and costly inconvenience but it is, from a consumer’s perspective, tightly knit with this poorly executed scam. Additionally, I received the notification until after I returned to the USA. I didn’t have an opportunity to challenge the ticket while in Scotland. Another clever process to avoid a challenge from a caught off guard consumer.

The only issue was that there wasn’t a kettle for coffee//tea within the rooms. I’m assuming the expectation was that you needed to call room service but for over £200 a night, I would have expected this.
