Sunaqua is located at the wrong end of Pasikudah beach. The beach in front of the hotel is too shallow and rocky for swimming. you can walk to the public beach to swimming however the public beach is busy during weekend. Other than that, the hotel itself is pretty good. It even provides ladies sanitary items which comes very handy and this shows hotel's attention to detail.

Luxury feel hotel with amazing pool and view
We stayed in 6 different hotels during our trip in Sri Lanka and this one is by far the best one. Luxury feel with amazing view, spacious rooms and balcony, great service and breakfast. The hotel is situated bordering the Thissa lake with beautiful views of ancient stupas in the horizon. Rooms were large and comfortable but some amenities inside the room could use a few repairs. Overall positive experience and would recommend.
