* The place was very clean, beautiful , and the staff were very helpful. * The swimming pool was really good. * The Western food was very good, but the Sri Lankan food was below standard and needs improvement. * They served dried string hoppers with nowhere near enough curry gravy. * The lunu miris seemed to be made with just chilli flakes and water, making it unsuitable to eat with kiribath. * There were no lights in the lobby or staircases during the night or early morning when we needed to go to Pooja Nagaraya. We had to use our phone torches to find our way around. There were no sensor lights either, which was quite concerning. * The water pressure from the toilet bidet shower was far too strong and could potentially cause injury to private areas. This should be adjusted for guests’ safety and hygiene.

The hotel lobby, restaurant and food were all pretty good but the room was basic and had some issues. It was good enough for a one night stay. I would consider this hotel a 2 or 3 star at most. The service, however, was very good.

My family and I stayed at Rajarata Hotel for two nights, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The hotel offers comfortable, well-appointed rooms, and the inclusion of a handheld shower is a thoughtful convenience that enhances the stay. The hotel is easy to locate, and the directions provided by Google Maps are accurate, making arrival smooth and hassle-free. The true highlight of the hotel is its exceptional staff. They are warm, courteous, genuinely welcoming, and remarkably attentive, consistently going above and beyond to ensure guests have a pleasant experience. The dining area is spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, creating an inviting atmosphere. There are also plenty of well-maintained common areas where guests can relax and unwind. The food is excellent, particularly if you are looking to experience authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. The generous selection of traditional Sri Lankan dishes is both flavorful and well prepared, making every meal a delight. Overall, Rajarata Hotel provides a comfortable stay, outstanding hospitality, and excellent dining, making it a wonderful choice for families visiting Anuradhapura.

Solid choice, great pool

A solid choice in Anuradhapura that caters to tour groups, especially. Nice staff, clean and basic rooms, with nice little balconies, many of which overlook the terrific pool. Would recommend avoiding the meh dinner buffet and order off the menu instead. Well located, and staff made a great recommendation for local driver and guide.

Everything is good, but there were two minor issues I would point out. 1.) Shower door didn't close completely. 2.) They only give one room key, which you need to plug in for lights to operate. So, there is a chance you can walk out and get locked out the door. When I pointed that out, they gave me a sperate card to plug in for the lights and so my door keys were always in my pocket. One thing I should mention more than anything, staff were super friendly and very helpful!

Overall our experience was good. We had a great server named Gihan. I needed a pen to keep score on a game I was playing. The next day when I showed up he came over with a pen.i thought that was thoughtful. Our drinks and food were served quickly. I had no complaints about the staff. The only complaints is the dining room was moved upstairs as there was a function at the main dining room. The upstairs dining room is right by the rooms and the noise went on well past 11 pm. The dinners left, but the staff started getting ready for breakfast with plates clanking and chairs being moved. I would suggest the second dinning room is moved away from the rooms.

Never again

Started off on a bad note. Don’t expect to get the room you booked online .We were given a room with two single beds instead of the double deluxe .The staff said to bad that’s all we have even though we booked in advance . The solution just push them together . Very poor reception and service. Breakfast was very below par . The shower head fell and cut my husbands foot . Would not recommend booking on line as you do not get what you book.

深夜に到着しましたが、スタッフの対応は問題なかったです。部屋は問題なかったです。シーツ布を掛け布団代わりに使用する感じでしたが、気温が高い国ですので問題ないと思いました。朝ご飯も美味しかったです。スタッフも皆フレンドリーで問題なかったです。コストパフォーマンスは良いと思いました。是非また利用させていただきたいです。ありがとうございました。
