“I recently spent five nights here (mid July) while solo hiking Volcanoes National Park (30 minutes away) and exploring the Hilo area. I would totally stay here again by myself or with my significant other.This was a beautiful and fun compliment to spending all day outside - being screened in and protected from the rain, but otherwise immersed in outdoor Hawaii. “オーナーのGlenさんが親切でした。迷わないよう入り口の写真を送ってくれたり、メッセージを送ってくれました。 こちらでの滞在は私にとっては新鮮でした。 ソーラーによる電気、飲料水と雨水との使い分け。雨水のシャワーだけど、ちゃんと熱いお湯も出ました！トイレ、シャワーは部屋の中ではなく戸外でした。 キッチンはラナイにありました。 必要なものはちゃんと揃ってました。 自給自足に近い滞在の経験はなかなかできないので驚きもありました。 夜になるとコキガエルの大合唱。 トイレやシャワーでコキガエルに会いました。 真夜中にソーラー充電が切れたようで、完全に闇に！漆黒の夜って、こうなんだとあらためて認識。 なかなか出来ない経験ができて面白かったです。”

“My 10 year old daughter's favorite out of the 4 places we stayed, and I agree. Clean, affordable, and so charming, Tons of fruit trees and flowers, beautiful property. Great balance between eco friendly and comfortable. Guests are asked to conserve power (as location is solar powered and the location sometimes has long stretches of rain), but still great wifi, powerful fan, shampoo and body wash in the shower and a high water pressure endless hot shower. “The cottage was very clean and full of household items ready for use. It's a good thing i wake up around 5am because there's a Brahma (seemed like it) rooster next door that helps with the wake up process, hehehe. No need to set your alarm on your phone. The place was breezy once I opened all the windows. Truly a Hawaii experience. Thank you host!”

“Nice owners, pristine accommodations, very safe rural neighborhood, beautiful landscaping. We only stayed one night on our way to see friends, also visiting the big island. So we didn’t explore the area much. But it’s not far from the volcano and even closer to the hot springs and petrified forest.”
