Wouldn't recommend

Posted Oct 9, 2017
Pros: Nice check-in Comfortable bed
Cons: Cleanliness
My husband and I needed somewhere basically just to shower and sleep while we were visiting my sister. I picked this hotel because on expedia it received a 4/5 in the cleanliness category. I don't mind a dated hotel if it is clean. But this hotel was truly disgusting. As soon as we walked in I knew there was no way I was walking around without shoes on. There was hair chunks in the bathroom. The toilet kept running and when we looked in the tank there was a plastic bag filled with lord knows what. There was some sort of white residue on the desk and kitchen counters. Unfortunately we arrived too late to try to find somewhere else to stay. I was definitely disappointed and grossed out.

The room was clean and spacious. The desk was oriented so that two people could easily work on either side of it. The kitchen was a bit tight for two people to work, but still had plenty of space and pots and pans for us to cook a nice dinner. Closet space was good. Bed was comfortable. Never heard any noise from other guests.

Originally the first day in hotel room We had a flood in the bathroom. There was a leak from ceiling above our toilet. After making a call to front desk They advised us to move to another room. This was at midnight and it was raining. We ended up in a handicapped room that was in bad shape. Many things broken. Big hole (smashed in wall) in shower from The wheel chair. Lamp shade torn, no light in refrigerator The divert or was not working in the shower. We were trying to enjoy the stay for the weekend Due to it being Anthony birthday. We were not comfortable or happy about all of this. No apology was even received. Breakfasts were good.

Please don't stay here

Posted Sep 26, 2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Just about everything
One of the most disappointing hotel stays of my life. Remote barely worked because it had not back, drapery sheers were torn, back of bathroom door was dirty, barely able to sit on sofa, phone didn't work, right on Route 9 so very noisy. And who knew you had to request maid service on the weekend--yes i twas in the written policy but not mentioned at check-in. The only good news, the included breakfast was far better than expected. Never again.

Marist family weekend

Hard to find hotel. Thought it was a condo complex at first. Pleasant staff. Easy check in/out. Nice amenities at hotel, but room itself felt dirty. Had a family of flies buzzing around that wouldn't go away.

The hotel is in very poor condition. Did not walk on carpet with bare feet. How do you supposedly clean a room and there are spider webs and layers of dust around the fireplace I had to go to Wal-Mart and get cleaning supplies in order to thoroughly clean the bathroom before my daughter and I could use it. The stairs were loose. The door constantly got stuck. One time it took 10 minutes for us to get in the room the front desk was not helpful at all. I check out early. It was not worth the money nor the $30 a day for incidentals. Then it took forever for them to release the money on my card. Never again.

A property in need of an upgrade.

Posted Sep 15, 2017
Pros: The staff was pleasant.
Cons: The suite smelled like wet dog and the space is in desperate need of renovation.
Location: -Climb Mt. Beacon -Visit Beacon or Cold Spring for shopping and eating -Hike Breakneck Ridge -Visit the Walkway Over the Hudson
While the staff were helpful and the outside of the property looked good, our room was not in good shape. The interiors are old and patched together, but the biggest problem was the dank, dirty smell in the suite that would not go away regardless of how long the windows and door were open. The space was not cleaned properly before we arrived--hairs in the bathroom, flies buzzing around, toenail clippings on the floor, etc. The property manager might want to evaluate the security on the property as well--when we came back to the room on our second night there was an individual in the SUV parked next to us who was sitting in the driver's seat with the music blasting while he was smoking marijuana (and yes, we could still hear the music inside for quite some time). The Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Fishkill isn't completely terrible, but the management urgently needs to improve the interiors of its suites.

Great/Quiet hotel

Posted Sep 2, 2017
Pros: Quiet and the roomy suite. Good breakfast.
Cons: Nothing--it was very good
Location: We stayed here on the way back from visiting Yale University Art Museum
The rooms are suites set apart with four suites to a building. Very quiet. Comfortable, attractive room with kitchen and sofa/tv area. The breakfast provided in the morning was good with warm entrees e.g.waffles, egg & sausage; good coffee; and cold entrees e.g. bagels, toast, cereal. Definitely would stay at this hotel again.

Large rooms, good for families...

Posted Aug 23, 2017
Pros: Big room, large bed, close to some good food options and easily accessible.
Cons: It is a little dated, certainly improve the bathroom.
Location: Food options aplenty nearby, and good access from the highways.
The room was spacious and comfortable enough, if a little dated. The bathroom could certainly be improved, an unusual layout and small bath/shower/toilet.... Certainly would be a good base for a family, and has it's own kitchenette. A real holiday feel.
