Our apartment was truly delightful, spacious and spotlessly clean with breathtaking sea views. Nicely decorated, the bedrooms are lovely, each with their own doors to the terrace and there is a large communal terrace downstairs with sun loungers. The location is idyllic, though some steep climbs so not for those with mobility issues if you want to explore. There's a lovely 10th Century Church above the apartments and the bells chime in the background. There were essentials in the well equipped kitchen, including most vitally coffee, and toileteries in the bathroom. Many comfortable and very clean towels and linen. There's a michelin starred restaurant 1 min away where we had the most amazing breakfast with views all around. There's a well stocked shop nearby with pretty much everything you need plus local products and a pizzeria which we didn’t try but it looked nice. The host is so welcoming, he eaks perfect English and provided anything we needed, from bus tickets to laundry detergent. He also grows his own fruit and veg. The local buses are regular although sometimes full, there are also local taxi services. The steep roads are not for the faint hearted. It's 20 mins to Amalfi where there are boats to many places on the coast including Positano. We also discovered a local beach with a beach club which was really brilliant and worth the 400 steps from the road, with boat rides back to Amalfi included. I would highly recommend as a base for your visit to this beautiful area.
