We just stayed at the Coastal Cabana for the weekend, and while we had a good time overall, we found both the positive and negative reviews to be pretty accurate.The location was great and the home had some thoughtful touches — like nice shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers, and just enough towels for our family of four. The kitchen was stocked with the basics, including pots, pans, and enough utensils to cook and eat, which made meals easy to manage.That said, most of the sleeping arrangements left a lot to be desired. The queen bed was just uncomfortable, and the bunk beds in one of the guest rooms were essentially bare springs with a thin layer of fabric — our son ended up choosing the couch instead. There was also a chair in that room that converts to a bed, but it was too dirty to use. The full bed in the other guest room was okay, but the pull-out trundle under it was uncomfortable, and the sheet on it appeared stained or dirty.We’d recommend future guests come well-prepared: bring all the extras you think you might need — things like ice, a can opener, a hair dryer, and laundry detergent. Also note that there is no access to outdoor storage.Overall, the home worked for a quick getaway, but with a few upgrades (especially to the mattresses and cleanliness of the convertible furniture), it could easily be a 5-star experience.
