We loved staying in this ever-so British historic property. The breakfast is well worth the cost. Be sure to request a room with a sea view for a spectacular panorama of three countries, two continents, and two oceans. I highly recommend a gin and tonic in the bar in the evening. You can feel the history at every turn!

Some of the staff members (Barry) were really good and helpful. The hotel is a sort of three star place at best. We asked for a room well away from the lift and stairs so they gave us a room next to the lift and stairs. We moved to another room just a little further away which an adjoining room door. Yes we had the visitors from hell staying next door shouting all night until 0530am. The breakfast was OK, I Found many dirty plates. The carpets in the hotel were thread bare, in fact the place needs a total make over. It’s location and view are very good but sadly they are the good points. I would never stay again and I would not recommend.

Location is good. Property , particularly room needs updating. Old style with rusty lamps , old style furnitures etc. Breakfast and Breakfast area is looking better.

This was clearly the best place to stay in Gib - but that was because we made sure to secure good views (a big must). Fantastic support from which to move from. But it is high up and steep. For those struggling to walk I would suggest making sure you relied on bus or taxi to start your day. Otherwise it’s close and beautiful.

They took great care of us, there was a bottle of Cava and some fruit in our end of the hall room with an oversized balcony with great views
