“We just spent three nights at Hotel La Colina in Gijon, Spain. I have to say it’s been the highlight of our European trip. The location is secluded outside of town, but you can get into town in 10 minutes. We ate breakfast in the cafeteria every morning and the food and service were wonderful. The rooms were great, the views are fantastic, along with the hiking paths and best of all the staff were some of the friendliest people we’ve met on our trip. Highly recommended, and we will be back.”

“Centrally located near the beach and rail station . Nice breakfast and a temperature controlled swimming pool.”

“Last visited this hotel on 2007. It hasn’t changed much, although it looks like they are making a start. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Staff were friendly and helpfully. Don’t expect luxury, but it’s fine if you want a base for a few days.”

“The hotel is good but the main desk was unmanned. We experienced difficulties on arrival and had to speak with someone via intercom who must have been at another location. We finally identified an envelope with my name on it and then struggled to gain access. Similarly, when leaving, we found the front desk unmanned.”

“The hotel is close to the harbour area. Has onsite parking (suitable for smaller cars), The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly, patient and helpful. The breakfast while not extensive in range, has a good mix of cereals, yogurt, fruit, hot food, pastries, juices, coffee and tea and is very cheap compared to other hotels. This is a great place from which to explore the town and I would thoroughly recommend it.”
