Head east along the shore until you reach the Glendhu Bay Lookout and admire the various mountains reflected in the lake’s shimmering surface. Watch the poplar trees draping the hills turn golden in fall.
Attend a wedding or other private function at the Glendhu Station, an impressive observation deck above Rotary Park. Check out neighboring Parkins Bay and hike north along the Lake Access Trail to get to the impressive Matukituki River Bridge.
Glendhu Bay is in the southwestern corner of Lake Wanaka, in the southwestern part of New Zealand’s South Island. It stands between the areas of Albert Town and Cattle Flat.
