We had no choice. Better to reserve lodges inside park.

Well located for Grand Canyon National Park

Posted Sep 27, 2015
Pros: Principally chosen for proximity to Grand Canyon National Park.
Cons: Microwave in rooms would help as eating out locally was VERY expensive.
Location: See above - GC National Park.
Pleasant hotel with good facilities including an above average swimming pool.

Pros: Indoor hot tub. Great steak house restaurant right across the street. Pleasing, inviting lobby decor. Great staff.
Location: Grand Canyon! Many options for restaurants in the immediate area. Free bus to grand canyon.
Wonderful indoor hot tub in a beautiful atrium. Good food in the restaurant right on site. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Great location for The Grand Canyon.

Posted Sep 21, 2015
Pros: Clean and comfortable.
Cons: Restaurant not great.
Location: Excellent location. We took the helicopter trip from nearby airport and hiked part way down into the canyon.
Comfortable hotel close to the entrance of the Grand Canyon National Park. Staff pleased to help. Good stopover location if touring California and the West.

Grand Canyon

Posted Sep 20, 2015
Pros: The staff helped us with an easily accessible room.
Cons: If anything, a decor update.
Location: Obviously, The Grand Canyon! They also had indoor pool and large hot tub. Bet those campers would have enjoyed that!
Just outside Grand Canyon National Park. The staff was excellent! I called that morning and requested a ground floor room because of my husband's health problems. While she told me they couldn't guarantee anything, not only was our room on the ground floor, but we parked 5 steps from the room. No, it's not a 5 star hotel. None in the area seem to be. But we were there for the Grand Canyon and it put us there!

Staff was great, the room was clean, dinner buffet was very generous and good quality. The shower curtain bar was not properly attached, that's the only flaw ))

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Fix the problem instead of lying about it
I checked in at 10pm. About an hour later I found out that the fridge wasn't not working. I called the front desk and they sent a maintenance guy. He said:"You are lucky that we provide you a fridge in a room. Most hotels would charge you $10 to have a fridge in a room. This is a new fridge. It takes a while to kick in." I don't know any hotel that would charge $10 to have a fridge. The fridge never worked that whole night and my food went bad. I asked for manager when I checked out but she wasn't there. They advised me to call back. When I called back the manager Rachel told me that the fridge was working fine and they won't reimburse for my food. I didn't think I would need to have a second witness for a broken bridge at a hotel this big. To sum it up: DO NOT STAY HERE

Dirtiest "hotel resort" I've ever stayed.

Posted Sep 13, 2015
Pros: Staff was friendly.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Nothing to do other than visit the Grand Canyon.
Staff was very pleasant. Other than that, the hotel was filthy dirty and ridden with rats. My mom found a dead rat under her bed. Not only was our bathroom door damaged, it also did not close. The room was stuffy and smelled very bad. We felt very uncomfortable sleeping in that room. One bed was too soft, while the other bed was too hard with the springs squeaking with every movement you make. The pillows and sheets smelled a little like mildew, probably from being stored in a dirty room. On our walk to the vending machine, my mom saw the hotel's linen closet. She said the walls were chipped and dirty. Again, she saw another dead rat. I tried to buy water from the vending machine. It ate my money the first time. I put more money in it. I wanted water and was given a Dr. Pepper. I tried again to get something else; everything else was sold out, and again, the machine spit out a Dr. Pepper. I did not see any rats myself, but I heard some screeching noises at night. I'm dumb-founded by the price of this place and the filthy condition it was in. We paid nearly $300 per night, per room. We rented 2 rooms. One room had an AC that barely worked. The other room had an AC that did not work at all. It was extremely stuffy in both rooms. We checked out as soon as we could the next morning (we checked in at 11:45 PM the night before). We all left feeling ill the next day. We will never return.

Old Hotel

Posted Sep 12, 2015
Pros: Closeness to Grand Canyon main entrance.
Cons: Remodeled rooms and especially the bathrooms redone.
Location: Very convenient to the Grand Canyon
The hotel was showing it's age. The room and the bathroom exhibited poor care. A ironing board hung on the door in bathroom. Stains were evident in bathroom.
